Debi started out breaking and Training Horses for our kids. She put a lot of time into them then and does the same now. Her goal is to make the safest horse possible.
We start working with the baby, soon after it is born. We Halter break them, Pick up their feet, Teach them to lead, teach them to move away from pressure, and give to pressure.
We work the yearlings on a rotation schedule. They are turned out for a while, (We have 30 acres of Pasture), to be a horse, then they come into the barn and get worked with on a daily basis. We do lots of ground work including things such as: Teach them to set up, Stand quietly, get a bath, clip, Lead over and around obstacles, pony them across the fields, Load in the Trailer and Lounge.
As 2 year olds we continue with the same program, adding saddling and Hauling them some. We don't start riding them until their Joints, bones and minds are strong enough Usually as a long two year old. I want my horses to be sound well into their 20's.
As 3 year old We put miles on, give them a good foundation so that they move away from leg pressure, give to the bit and Walk trot and lope.
I want a horse that is respectful and responsive,Who will last me a life time , be happy to do the job at hand and willing to give 100 percent.
We are so excited to announce that we now have a winter ranch in Phoenix Arizona. Sunshine...sunshine...sunshine...
